Will Tadej Pogacar’s form carry through to the Tour De France?
Who To Look Out For
All eyes will be on Tadej Pogacar as he aims to claim a fourth Tour de France victory and secure back-to-back wins. The 26-year-old Slovenian put on an extraordinary display last year, finishing over six minutes ahead of second-place Jonas Vingegaard. Pogacar dominated the race from start to finish, becoming the first rider since Mark Cavendish in 2009 to win six stages in a single Tour. Heading into the 2025 race, he’s in impeccable form, with 11 wins already this year.
While Pogacar is the favorite, Vingegaard, the reigning champion from 2022 and 2023, is more than capable of reclaiming the title. The Danish rider finished as runner-up last year and was just 59 seconds behind Pogacar at the recent Critérium du Dauphiné, where he took second place once again.
The Tour is a true test of fitness, endurance, mental fortitude, and strategy, covering around 3,500 kilometers from Lille to Montpellier and back to Paris. While Pogacar’s dominance makes him the clear contender, it’s worth remembering that the Tour is a team effort. Success isn’t just about individual strength—it’s about teamwork, tactics, and seizing every opportunity along the way. With fierce competition from riders like Vingegaard, the 2025 Tour promises to be another unforgettable showdown.
