Discover how the French rooster became our logo—and what it represents for international students and culture lovers.

A Symbol Born From History

When we set out to choose a symbol that reflects our mission, values, and French connection, the rooster stood out immediately. Known in France as Le Coq Gaulois, the rooster has symbolised French pride and resilience for centuries. Its roots go back to a Latin pun—gallus meaning both “rooster” and “Gaul”—but the French made it their own. What began as wordplay became a powerful national emblem, and now, it’s part of ours.

More than a logo—Le Coq reflects pride, strength, and the international spirit at the heart of everything we do.

Why It Speaks to Who We Are

We work with international students, cross-cultural experiences, and global ambitions—but with a strong French spirit at the core. The rooster represents exactly that. It stands tall. It watches the horizon. It’s a little flamboyant, deeply proud, and never backs down from a challenge. Whether you’re navigating student life in Europe or chasing big dreams abroad, Le Coq reminds us that courage, character, and curiosity matter most. That’s the story we wanted our logo to tell.

Proud. Resilient. French.

Our logo says everything we stand for—starting with Le Coq.

The rooster: rooted in French history, and now, part of our identity.

Seen on Jerseys—Now on Ours

You’ve probably seen Le Coq on France’s national sports kits, on Olympic athletes, or etched into vintage French stamps. That same energy—the mix of legacy, confidence, and timeless identity—is what we wanted to capture for our platform. We’re about more than information—we’re about voice, pride, and personality. Choosing the rooster ties us to the same cultural thread that’s run through French history, but with our own fresh twist.

What It Means for You

Whether you’re a student thinking about France, an explorer of new cultures, or just someone drawn to meaningful design, our logo is a conversation starter. It says, “Here’s who we are—and here’s what we stand for.” It’s bold without being loud, rooted in history but built for now. Most of all, it’s a reminder that no matter where you’re coming from or going to, you belong in this story.
